All eyes will be on this years top lot, a 1963 DB4 series V convertible thats one of only 70 ever made, which is expected to sell for between CA$1.2 million and CA$1.3 million.

Naturally an Aston Martin sale would not be complete without a lineup of Bond cars and this sale features examples of models which have appeared with 007 on the silver screen, the auction house said in a press release .

The most iconic of these is, of course, the DB5 which famously featured in Goldfinger, Thunderball and Goldeneye, as well as Casino Royale and Skyfall.

A 1965 example of the DB5, estimated at CA$1 million CA$1.2 million, is offered in the classic cinematic finish of silver birch paintwork and black leather interior, the auction house wrote.

In 1969, a DBS sports saloon starred alongside George Lazenbys portrayal of the secret agent in the sixth Bond film, On Her Majesty s Secret Service.

Bonhams is offering an original U.K. market, right-hand drive example from the same year, estimated at CA$174,000 CA$208,000, fitted with five-speed manual transmission.

By the late 80s, Timothy Dalton had taken on the role of 007, driving a V8 Vantage in the 1987 film The Living Daylights.

The sale features two examples from that year, both finished in metallic Chichester blue, with an estimated sale price of between CA$550,000 CA$625,000 for the first model and between CA$520,000 and CA$608,000 for the other.

The 20th Bonhams Aston Martin sale will see nearly 70 years of British motor history up for auction, from a 1952 Lagonda to a 2019 Vanquish Zagato shooting brake.
