Lexus puts far-future styling on display in the ‘MiB’ Galactic Enforcer Jet

OK, so I might be conflating intergalactic fantasy worlds just a smidge here, but you get the point. Lexus is putting its stuff in space movies.
Named after the largest black hole in the universe and revealed in advance of the Hollywood blockbuster in which it’s featured, the QZ 618 Galactic Enforcer is actually a 2020 Lexus RC F that can transform into a spacecraft at the push of a button.
Presumably, Chris Hemsworth and/or Tessa Thompson’s characters will push that button as members of the famed alien police force in the new film Men in Black: International, which hits theatres in North America on June 14. Lexus has confirmed the 2020 Lexus RC F will be the MiB agents’ “vehicle of choice for their high-velocity pursuits.”
Lexus really got into the spirit of things in the press release introducing the jet, claiming it draws power from space material found in black holes and “uses the power of the nearest Active Galactic Nucleus (AGN) to travel anywhere in the universe in seconds.”
Apparently the QZ 618 gets from zero to 100 km/h in 0.0000000000001 nanoseconds. By my calculations, that’s just fast enough to make the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs.
“The Lexus jet reflects the future of the Lexus brand—the far, far distant future,” said Lisa Materazzo, vice-president of Lexus marketing. “With the most advanced alien-fighting technology, performance and sophisticated styling, it’s in a class of its own.”
It may be a class of its own, but we definitely recognize that spindle grille. The colour, Umbra Black, says Lexus, is the darkest in the galaxy, and the interior is lined with ethically spawned Adorian leather.
Drive modes include EcoDrive, SportDrive and QuantumDrive, and fuel consumption is rated at 122 mpg (Millenia Per Gallon). To keep passengers of all alien races safe, Lexus’s latest transforming seats come with a 31-point harness for every body type. And to help the agents communicate, Amazon Alexa has been updated to include all seven trillion alien languages.
It’s a far-out ride well suited for the Men and Women in Black. And the Force does seem strong with it, so hopefully its drivers will live long and prosper.
