Lamborghini is recalling just over two dozen examples of its Aventador SVJ because improperly installed interior door handles mean some owners could get trapped inside their car.

Some 26 examples of both roadster and coupe SVJs built between December 3, 2019 and January 22, 2020 are affected, according to Motor1 .

On affected vehicles, “a non properly trained new operator may have not correctly engaged the bowden cable pin inside the internal door handles” during assembly, the company says.

This means the interior door handle could fail prematurely. If an owner enters the car without their keys, and the inside handle breaks off, it poses an “entrapment risk.” Outside handles should be all right.
