High-speed chase in Prince Albert, Sask., ends with arrest of 17-year-old girl

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. -- RCMP in northern Saskatchewan say they had to smash their way into a car involved in a high-speed chase before they were able to make any arrests.
A 17-year-old girl believed to have been driving and a 24-year-old male passenger were to appear in court Tuesday to face several charges.
Police said the overnight chase began when officers tried to stop a vehicle leaving the scene of a disturbance.
A spikebelt was used to flatten both front tires, but the driver kept going at speeds of more than 100 km/h before eventually stopping in a ditch.
