CALGARY—Both directions of traffic on Highway 1 at Dead Man’s Flats west of Calgary is blocked due to poor visibility and slick road conditions.

Multiple collisions Wednesday have caused a backlog of traffic. Canmore RCMP said emergency crews are working to clear the accidents, but in the meantime, the highway is impassable.

All vehicles approaching the area will be turned around.

Those heading eastbound are advised to turn around at Highway 1X toward Kananaskis or sooner and those heading westbound should stop in Canmore or Banff until the collisions have been cleared up.
