Nova Scotia police still searching for 33-year-old man who evaded arrest in Trenton

New Glasgow police say Christopher McKay fled from a home in Trenton, N.S., as officers tried to carry out a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest on an alleged parole violation.

Police say they arrested another man today who had been accompanying McKay.

They issued an emergency alert earlier warning residents to remain in their homes, but that alert has since been lifted.

New Glasgow police Const. Ken MacDonald says officers have increased their patrols in the Trenton area as the search for McKay continues.
