Penticton RCMP commander named new president of provincial association
Canada
He was elected president of the association at a recent quarterly meeting, taking over from Chief Const. Del Manak, from the Victoria Police Department.

The BCACP is a partnership organization between municipal police forces and RCMP. It’s a lobbying force with all levels of government for policing issues.

The position rotates each year.

“I hope to continue the work the association has undertaken under the leadership of Chief Constable Del Manak in 2018,” De Jager said in a news release. “Throughout the next year, we will continue to support consistency in delivering respectful, lawful and bias-free policing practices throughout the province.”
