Saskatoon officer pleads guilty to sex assault, gets conditional discharge

SASKATOON—A Saskatoon police officer who is also a military reservist has been given a conditional discharge after pleading guilty to sexual assault.

Const. Robert Brown was charged after an investigation by the Canadian Forces investigation service into an off-duty incident on Remembrance Day of 2017 at an armoury in Saskatoon.

Const. Robert Brown, a 16-year veteran of the police force who is also a member of the North Saskatchewan Regiment, had been suspended with pay pending the outcome of his court case.  (Dreamstime)

Brown was arrested last year and the service said at the time that the victim was a civilian.
