Canadiens to visit Renous, N.B., for pre-season game against Panthers

The community of Renous (pop. 700) was named the winner of the Kraft Hockeyville competition on March 30. In addition to winning an opportunity to host the NHL exhibition, Renous will also receive $250,000 for upgrades to the Tom Donovan Arena.

“All of our personnel and players are excited at the idea of going to play in New Brunswick, where we know we can count on a solid base of hockey fans who know and love the game,” Canadiens owner Geoff Molson said.

The Canadiens also announced they won’t be playing a pre-season games at the Vidéotron Centre in Quebec City this year. All of their home pre-season matches will take place at the Bell Centre.
