Viktor Arvidsson’s empty-netter settled a done deal.

The Canadiens ’ second-period comeback had lasted 17 seconds.  Shea Weber ’s goal made it 2-1 and brought the Bell Centre to life.

Seventeen seconds later, Craig Smith’s wraparound, his second of the game, beat Carey Price to make it 3-1.

Craig Smith opened the scoring, 10:46 into the game, cashing the juicy rebound of a P.K. Subban point blast. Then with 36 seconds left in the first period, Matthias Ekholm blew a stoppable shot past Price.

Shotswere 32-28 for the team that won.
