Chicago rookie Lauri Markkanen is off to a solid start to his career, averaging 16 points a game and shooting about 38 per cent from three-point range. The Raptors Serge Ibaka is going to have to chase him out around the arc and not give him space to shoot.

NEED TO KNOW

Bobby Portis, suspended eight games by the Bulls for slugging teammate Niko Mirotic in a practice, is eligible to play. Coach Fred Hoiberg said he’ll back up Markkenen at power forward . . . The Bulls also lost small forward David Nwaba to a severely sprained ankle.
