Edmonton city police put the brakes on several speeders over the holiday weekend, including one car that clocked in at more than 160 kilometres an hour along the Anthony Henday.
A member of the traffic enforcement section (TES) pulled over a BMW 750i travelling down the Henday near 137 Avenue just after 5 p.m. on Saturday after observing the vehicle travelling 163 km/h in a posted 100 km/h, police said in a Tuesday news release. The officer also noticed the driver had his month-old daughter in the back passenger seat, police said.
