Ford’s 2022 Mustang adds Stealth option, rumours say higher trims will lose power

Ford has let a few ponies out of the 2022 Mustang’s corral, according to new reports by Ford Authority . The upcoming-model-year sports car will run a naturally aspirated 5.0L Ti-VCT V8 engine that for one reason or another (probably emissions) is less powerful than that of its predecessor, by 10 horsepower and 10 lb-ft of torque, according to insider info collected by that blog.
But the Blue Oval hasn’t been advertising the reduction in power in its leading sports car, if there really is one, just yet, deciding instead to focus on the addition of a couple new model options, including a new Stealth Edition and the first California Special available with the GT Performance Package.
