Jaguar has announced the 2022 version of its all-electric I-Pace sport-utility, which gets an improved infotainment system, faster charging capacity, and new driver-assist technologies.
It comes in a single, top-level HSE trim, with Canadian pricing starting at $99,800.
The I-Pace uses two electric motors, one at each axle for all-wheel-drive capability, for combined 394 horsepower and 512 lb-ft of torque.

The I-Pace uses Jaguar’s latest dual-sim Pivi Pro infotainment system, with a simplified menu that accesses 90 per cent of the most common tasks in fewer than two taps from the home screen. An enhanced navigation system can show available charging stations and estimated charging time, and it will select the most appropriate chargers to reduce the time needed for a trip on longer drives. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and two phones can simultaneously be connected through Bluetooth.
Standard features on the HSE trim now include 16-way heated and cooled front seats, premium LED headlamps, automatic high-beam assist, power liftgate, and 20-inch dark-grey wheels; while the standard Meridian sound system adds two extra speakers in the headliner, for a total of 16 speakers and a subwoofer.

Standard driver-assist features include adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, head-up display, emergency front braking, blind-spot and lane-keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, and speed limiter.
Over-the-air software update capability is improved, including for infotainment, battery management, and charging. A new, standard 11-kW AC on-board charger can reduce charging time; on a 100-kW DC charger, it can add up to 101 kilometres of range in 15 minutes.
Other enhancements include a new 3D surround camera, digital rearview mirror, and improved cabin filtration to capture ultrafine particles. For appearance, the I-Pace adds a grey finish to the grille tip, a Bright Package with chrome accents, Black Pack with gloss-black badges, and new exterior paint colours.
