New Brunswick reports ninth COVID-19-related death, three new infections

Premier Blaine Higgs and chief medical health officer Dr. Jennifer Russell offered their condolences to the family of the deceased person.
Authorities in the province are also reporting three new COVID-19 cases.
The province said today the new cases involve three people in their 40s in the Fredericton region.
New Brunswick has 28 active reported cases of COVID-19, and one patient is in hospital with the disease, in the intensive care unit.
“On behalf of my family and all New Brunswickers, I extend sincere sympathies to the family and friends of the individual who has died,” Higgs said in a statement.
