Ottawa Senators sign forward Brady Tkachuk to a seven-year contract - Ottawa Senators

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators announced today that the team has signed forward Brady Tkachuk to a seven-year, $57.5M contract. The contract has an average value of $8.214 million annually and includes the following breakdown: $4.0M in 2021-22, $6.5M in 2022-23, $10.5M in 2023-24, $10.5M in 2024-25, $10.5M in 2025-26, $8.5 in 2026-27 and $7.0M in 2027-28.
Tkachuk, 22, appeared in each of the Senators 56 regular-season games in 2020-21 and led the team in scoring with 36 points (17 goals, 19 assists) while accruing a team-high 69 penalty minutes. The campaign marked the second consecutive in which he has led the team in points.

A St. Louis native, Tkachuk will enter the 2021-22 season having skated in 194 consecutive contests for the Senators (which ranks 10th in franchise history) and 198 games for his NHL career over which he has recorded 125 points (60 goals, 65 assists) and 250 penalty minutes. A 2019-20 NHL All-Star, Tkachuk is one of only 29 all-time Senators with 60 goals and one of only 28 with 250 penalty minutes.
Internationally, Tkachuk captained Team U.S.A to a gold medal at the 2017 IIHF U-18 World Junior Championship and helped the Americans to a bronze medal at the 2018 IIHF WJC by ranking third in team scoring with nine points (three goals, six assists) over seven games in Buffalo, N.Y.
