The Maple Leafs will be back on the ice Wednesday, Jan. 13, as the NHL kicks off its new season, one that will look a little different than we’re used to in these COVID-19 times.

Between the 56-game schedule, the new division realignment — including an all-Canadian one — taxi squads, ads on helmets, and of course, the possibility of postponed games or games played with fewer than normal players, this season will be like no other.

We have assembled a panel, including Leafs legend Wendel Clark, and our hockey journalists — columnist Dave Feschuk, and reporters Kevin McGran, and Mark Zwolinski — to answer readers’ questions on what to expect as the season returns.

The panel will be moderated by sports reporter Laura Armstrong, focusing on expectations for the Leafs this season, how border restrictions might affect the trade deadline, the building up of rivalries, and more.
